Holography MarketPlace 4th Edition
The above image is a scan of the back of the ad and brings up an interesting point if you want to do a project like this. Not only does the hologram have to be embossed on the ad but the ad has to be perforated and scored as well. This does require a bit more in the way of charges. In this particular ad the viewer pops the hologram out of the ad along the perforated lines and then folds it up along the scored lines to make a box which is covered with a hologram of your design. The idea behind the ad is that the artist wants the viewer to get an idea of what a finished product (a box) looks like if it had a hologram printed all over the box. The viewer would then be able to get an idea of what a hologram can do to help catch attention and sell their product. You can obviously use this technique for a number of products. You can get a copy of the ad by simply ordering the publication it is in (hmp4) and you will also get a number of other ads using holograms that are in the book The cost is inexpensive ($20) and can be ordered here. |
