"Harry" - A classical example of a 2 channel embossed hologram. As you tilt the page from left to right, the hologram shows two distinctly different images. Depending on the angle of view and light source used, the hologram may have various tinted backgrounds.

The significance of this hologram is that it is a simple design and typical of what you can expect from hologram manufacturers in the way of embossed holograms. You can submit computer animation artwork you create or a physical model you make to the hologram manufacturer.

As an artist the most common usage of this is to have a before and after image. It goes without saying that there is no end of artistic designs you can come up with for this technique. The fact that the hologram is on a silver backing and actually "does something" as the viewer passes by the image or rotates the image makes it a favorite for product advertising.
